Best dlna software for Sony BDP-S5100 BD player?

So I recently replaced my old Samsung BD player with a new Sony model and I'm stumped on how to get the media content from my computer upstairs to the Sony in the living room. The Sony BD player is using a wired network connection over my LAN.

Samsung has this clunky software called PC Share Manager that while not very feature rich did the job quite nicely once you ironed out its quirks.

I've noticed Sony has no such software available so does anyone have any recommendations for some simple software I can use? I've tried XBMC and that seemed way overkill for what I want to do.
I just want the Sony to be able to browse through the folders on my external HDD upstairs find the right file and push play on the remote to start playing the movie/tv show ect. Does anything like this exist or something similar to it?

EDIT:Forgot to add that the computer in question is running Win8.1 Pro. Not sure if it makes a difference though.
