Best Download Accelerator/Manager?

Just wondering what is the best? Kontiki 1.02 was rated the best by PC Magazine, but I'm wondering if there is anything better.

i don't think any of them work. If you have to download with a slow connection or one that is unstable (like my cable), use a DL manager that supports broken downloads.

Well I know for a fact that they work. I download Kontiki and tried to download the Kontiki installer with IE downloader and Kontiki Download. Kontiki managed it in one second and the IE download took 6 seconds (2.5 meg program) Just wondering if there is anything faster.

i think gozilla or getright handles multiple sources which is (i think) how it manages to "Accelerate" your connection.

I use to really like Download Accelarator, but the pop up news thing is really bugging me now. I'm thinking about changing to something else too.

Download Accelerator plus is what i use.

Flashget. Don't really use it as an accelerator. As a manager it's awesome.

well, I'm not sure whether they ALL improve downloading times, but I at least know that some of them can improve download times depending on the situation. I mean, yeah, if you're already downloading at a rate where your modem/connection is maxxed-out, then yeah, one of these programs can't improve that scenario. But in other scenarios, where you modem is nowhere near being maxxed out, and when there's multiple sites to d/l from, then some of these programs can kick some serious butt.
