I went out to the parking lot to warm my car up ( 6:00 am ) ..... and 7 year old ( sleeping @ the time when I went out ) ran out to give me a kiss and said " happy fathers day ...daddy ... I love U " .... made my eyes water

My dad an I aren't close like that. Not that we don't like each other, males in my family just don't show any kind of affection toward each other.

I will try to bear him till he is 18 ... but he is the sweetest kid ...... he is not my biological son .... his dad died when he was 1 .... I got into his life when he was 4 ..... I love this kid .... he has unbiased love and I am raising him as my own

My Mom told me my Dad has been wanting a croquet set of all things.

I went and got a decent one at the sporting goods store and took it over there. We set it up and played croquet in his backyard for about 2 hours while my wife and Mom sat up on the patio and watched.

It was oddly tranquil to do that with my Dad for that long and not talk about work (we work together and for the most part, thats all we ever talk about.) Just play croquet and drink a couple of beers together...it was awesome.

I put my Dad through a hard time when we did not agree ( he cheated on my mom and I did not talk to him for 8 years )....they patched things up but he died before we could have an adult coversation .... I loved him and hated him for all the wrong reasons ...... I dont want this kid to go through what I went through ..... dad rest in peace .... and all the father out there ..... happy fathers days

All my family got my dad for father's day was a big heaping of bad family politics.

His wife and son just suck the blood out of our family, and my biological siblings take all the sh!t. The yougest of the two is growing up to be just like his deadbeat, flunky, unemployed, stepbrother and a real smart*ss at that!

There's a reason I only live 5 minutes away from that house, yet haven't been seen in that house since Christmas...
