This is a difficult philosophical quandary.
I suppose I'd have to go with regular potato chip flavor, then sour cream & onion, and then BBQ.
I remember the Lay's cheddar chips from the late 80s/early 90s being really good, but they were probably made from a known carcinogen that also depletes the ozone, so they've never made that exact flavor again.

Dangit, you're right. I always lump Doritos into the potato chip group for some reason.

I do remember the chips growing up being a LOT tastier than the ones today. Not that the ones today are bad, but they seemed more flavorful in the 80's & 90's.

Hard to argue Lay's sour cream and onion. It's just a chip that's about perfect at any time. I do like Sour Cream and Cheddar ruffles a lot though as well.

Aaaaaallll of them. Which is why I almost never eat them.

But my favorite ones so far are the All Dressed style, something I never even knew existed. They're like...part BBQ but not quite. Part salt and vinegar but not quite. Part cheese, just a hint. And somehow all the flavors synergize rather than mixing into the crisp equivalent of "breen."

For the more normal ones, I love salt and vinegar and also the dill pickle types. I seem to crave salt things most of the time, rarely ever sweet ones.

Clam dip, but you rarely find it in stores; actually you need to dig and shuck your own clams while others milk the cow and make the cream cheese. Third party brews the worcestershire sauce. Should be ready by Christmas.

Some years back I sold some dehydrated dip mix that you would mix with sour cream/yogurt/etc. Let it sit overnight and it was fantastic. There were about ten different varieties. My favorite was cucumber dill. Yummy!

Skimmed the thread, but I didn't see mention of this - for anyone that voted dill pickle, are you aware that Utz also makes a FRIED dill pickle chip ?? That one gets my vote, even over regular dill pickle.
