I want to keep around 150Gb of mainly music (a single folder, lots of subdirectories) in sync between two PC's. Could you recommend me the best software to do this?

You mean Offline Folders? It's mainly music as I said (for syncing to a portable), so something that'd default to a network connected folder if it's available is not good.

You want to have two computers and when one of them has a change made in it's folder, the other folder on the other PC gets the same exact change?

Well, I don't have a solution per say, but CVS or it's windows counterpart(www.wincvs.com I think) I think would work out nicely. A nice tool to learnif interested in software development to

Anyways, it will keep all your files archived (nmot accassible in the archive), but you can make changes to the repository and usea one step opperation to get the latest archived information.

Well, jsut go learn about it and se what you think. I tought you to fish so to speak.

mirrofolder is very good if you just want a Software RAID.

Otherwise ViceVersa has the most capacity and flexibilty of the Folder/Files Sync programs.

There is s free Trial on the right side of the page: http://www.tgrmn.com/

Thanks for the suggestions so far. Yup, all I want to do is to keep the contents of a folder exactly in sync between two PC's, both of which make 'live' use of information in the folder.

WinXP I guess?

Get the Windows Server 2003 Resourcekit (works w/ 2k/XP/2003) ->Search microsoft.com

It has a utility called Robocopy. Works wonders....

Once you have both machines networked you need to do something like this (write a batch file):

Robocopy /MIR \\machine1\some\folder \\machine2\another\folder

and ur all set.
