would you recommend real ice or one of those block things that you freeze?

For a road trip, probably those freezer blocks, since you probably won't feel like emptying the melted ice, etc, even though it won't work quite as well.

Block things. Real ice melts and gets everything wet as aww hell naw.

Just don't take a lot of junky or sugary food... remember... you'll be sitting on your ass all but motionless for 14 hours. Nuts will be good, sunflower seeds would be great because you can put a handful in your mouth and essentially take 20 minutes breaking the seeds out and eating only an ounce of actual food.

I would recommend stopping say... every 3 or so hours to stretch, so you might as well try and find a small, decent meal while you are at it.

a few bags? you'll only need one if you have a decent amount of food/drinks in there. and yes, you'll need regular ice cubes and the frozen block thing, especially if the stuff you're putting in there isn't particularly cold already.

pack a couple sandwiches before you go. jerky is nice but for 14 hours it isn't enough.

Tuna Fish Sandwiches. Make sure not to put it in the cooler, your best bet is to leave it on the dash board.

ya, i like thoe better than jerky too. the teriyaki one is really good. when i travel for that long, ill uually take a bag of it along with assorted snacks like sunflower seeds and maybe a candy bar or two. i always make sure to stop long enough to have a sit down meal too, it really makes the rest of the drive easier. as long as you dont stuff yourself and get tired.

Im going on a 22hr road trip alone...drive from texas to NC.

I'll be sure to stop at a diner for breakfast type food, otherwise, I wouldnt pack junk. Its gross driving when your full and just wanna lay down. i like to keep myself refreshed during the 2 day drive.
