Time to put my kids computers in check. I've never looked for site blocking software so wouldn't even know where to begin. Is there something that I can install to limit the types of sites my kids visit ? On my TV, I just lock the channels I don't want them to watch, but I'm sure there's nothing like that for a computer.

Taking all suggestions

My son is 14 and has posters of chicks in bikini's on his walls. So I can only imagine what he looks at online

This might help a little bit if he uses IE (or you force him to use IE by restricting his privledges on the local machine).

Click "Tools"
Click "Internet Options..."
Click on "Content" tab
In the "Content Advisor" section click on "Enable..."

My router can log connections as well, so you might be able to big brother him and then talk to him about anything that's questionable in your eyes.

At least he doesn't have posters of the Chip N Dales. As a man, your blood line is safe.

I use a piece of software called SafeEyes. When I was looking for this type of software last year it was the best available at its price point. I like it so far and it is very flexible. Administration is web based, so you can do it from anywhere

I am not sure that it exists now or not but there was a software called "granny". I think it would work fine if there would be.

Vista is awesome. I just set this up for a client. The parental controls rock. I've got downloads blocked and www.myspace.com blocked completely with a nice strong admin password

I use a program called "Naomi" for my daughter & my oldest son.

http://www.radiance.m6.net/

It has been working great the last 2 years or so. It doesn't give any "blocked" message, it just closes the browser when it detects a questionable site. They get the message pretty quick, especially when they lose their game in another tab

Just talk to your kids and tell them you will actively monitor what they are doing online. You have to respect their privacy at some point to establish trust. If you do go through with software to monitor their acitivty, or at least moderate it, let them know. Doing the sneaky thing can just cause problems later on down the road.

Thinking back when I was 14, well I grew up normal. If I had no pr0n, well hell I would have been even more embarrased my first time. At least I 'tried' to look like I knew what I was trying to do.

Thanks for the other programs because these are helping a lot for me as well. I have given these links to one of my friend who needed.
