I wanted to know what you guys think is the best FT case out there, not only quality wise, but also from a value perspective. I am looking for a big case for a non-server comp. Thanks.

Foxconn 300watt ATX

http://www.comready.com/foxatxfultow.html
$69 + shipping ...

I got this case about 6 or 7 months ago and its been great for me.

I needed one with 6 5.25 inch bays .. and this one had it.

Also .. its got wheels too .. which kinda make it tilt a bit on carpet ... but its quite a bit easier to move then it would be to carry.

6 5.25" External Bays
2 3.5" External Bays
4 3.5" Internal Bay Supports up to (3) 8x8cm Case Fans (of course theres always the option to make more
300W UL / CSA ATX Power Supply

Its by no means the "BEST CASE" out there in terms of quality ....
but i think its damn good

Ive been running this 300 watt PS with kt7, 2 scsi elite 9 drives (dual hight 5.25 inch drives)
cdr, dvd, 2 maxtor 30gb drives, a 20gb ibm drive, a total of 9 fans, one agp and 5 Pci cards .. (had to leave of the pci slots empty cause of my card cooler)

I think this case is an exceptional value

I have a SuperMicro sc750a and a SX830. I like them both. The 750 is one big ass case tho. If you like fans, this is the one for you. I have 12+ fans in mine and it does move some air. I just bought the sx830 a couple of months ago for another computer. It cost about 1/2 as much. both have PLENTY of space. The 750 is built like a tank...very solid. The 830 is more of a high end SUV and is easier to get in to. The 830 uses drive rails and the 750 does not. The 750 is about 6 inches taller and about 2 inches wider. Its just a matter of how much space you think you need. The 830 is probably more than the average person will need. Both have a 300w PS

I won't call a case a big-tower before it has at least 5 external 5,25" bays!!!! Everything with less than this I'll call a mid-tower (Like my old Macase case)

I'll call my case a big-tower........addtronics calls it a server tower.

It's a 7890A.....highly recommended. Has 7 external 5,25" bays (YES!! I use them all)

I do also have a AOpen HX-08 which might also be called a big-tower, great case that one too.

Another 7890 Addtronics vote here.Best case I've ever had.wiredzone.com had them for $110,or 105 with the 300w p/s.I bit and love mine.I recommend wirezone.com.I did go to the source,addtronics.com and order the "luxury casters"(wheels),hey, they rock, plus they make the beast about 4" taller*(30+)and I asked for,via email and got two case badges,I'm telling ya this company wants our business.Their product sells itself, its very well made.Do your self a favor and buy one blind, hell buy two(kidding),I really do love mine.

From a size/value standpoint I would have to take the Antec 1030 over the Supermicro/Addtronics full tower anyday. IMO, the Supermicro is just TOO BIG. Half the cables won't fricking reach the motherboard. The Antec is "just right".. enough room to move without being cavernous or cramped.

If you want like 300000000000 fans in your case and plan on housing a midget colony, then by all means go for the Supermicro/Addtronics. It's much more expensive and bulky though.

Are you forgetting the Lite-On FS020?
Room for THREE 120mm fans (of course, you can mod any case and add 120 mm fans yourself).

Btw, I have a 6890, and I definitely recommend it. It is smaller than a 7890, but retains the high quality construction and multiple fan intakes/exhausts.

I have 2 inwin q500n's and an antec sx1030. The inwin is bigger and is easier to install a mb. The antec is smaller and easier to install drives. The inwin has 5 external 5,25 the antec 4. Both have a total of 10 bays. Inwin 5 and 5. Antec 4 and 6. Have fun!

Liteon FS-020!!

I have one, this thing simply rocks. Everyone who looks at it says, "holy cow, that's a cool lookin' case!"
I've still got my celeron 300A oc'd to 504 (and 527 at times) in it, and it has NEVER gone over 31 degrees C no matter what i run on it. Of course, I've got a monster Alpha heatsink on it that I bought from Apex way back when...

Some pictures, although a tad bit grainy, can be found at my site: kleier.baraboo.com in the overclocking section.
