I've been using a Logitech MX518 for years and I love it. It's the perfect mouse - perfect size, perfect number of buttons, perfect weight, perfect clickiness, perfect styling. I wish I bought two of them when they were still available, but my experience with mice is they generally don't need to be replaced until you feel the need to upgrade.

The G502 looks to be the successor to the MX518. I'd suggest giving that a try if you like Logitech. Seems too "edgy" for me - I don't know why gaming peripherals always have to have sharp and dramatic corners and lights (which get covered up by your hand anyways).

You are in luck...https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/logitech-re-releases-mx518-mouse-with-a-new-sensor.html

If you want an inexpensive mouse yet good, I recommend Logitech G300s. Nine programmable controls, move keyboard commands to mouse buttons that are in easy reach. If you wanna stick with Logitech, then my best suggestion is to also look at recommended gaming mouse under $50 on few tech sites such as https://www.reviewsed.com/best-gaming-mouse-under-50/ and https://www.techlectual.com/best-gaming-mouse-under-50/ you can try any of them mentioned in the lists to see how they feel. If you buy from somewhere with a generous return policy you can also take them home, try them out for a week or two and then make your decision. That's what I've started doing and it is much better than getting stuck with a mouse you end up not liking.

Hey guys (and gals, if any here), do we really need to debate what the "best" mouse is? This notion of 'best" and "better" has become something like neurosis in the hardware arena (and just about everywhere else I look; are you listening iPhone users?). I could give a rat's patootie if my mouse, graphics card, or haircut is the best or better than yours. Sure, recommendations are great—as a starting point. Good luck finding the best...

Now, please, someone tear me a new one because I'm "only" running an 8GB RX 570.

I don't think the idea was to argue that any mouse in particular was best for "you", but for "me", and then use people's own "best mice" as a starting point for recommendations.

Funny that I get a notification someone posted to this thread today of all days. Today, I picked up a new Logitech G305 today and it is officially my new favorite mouse in the world. The sensor is amazing and it's just great. I have been a big fan of the G203 and the 305 is basically a wireless version of that with the same sensor in the way-too-expensive G Pro wireless. Selling for about $49 on Amazon right now which is pretty good for a top-tier sensor and a solid package wireless mouse. It's a little heavy but people are using adapters to use AAA and/or lithium batteries to save a bit of weight. I like heavy mice, though, and will probably stick with AAs and enjoy the higher capacity.

I really enjoy my SteelSeries Rival 310. It's not super flashy, has the basics, and feels very comfortable and smooth in my hands. Great control and comfortable. I would definitely recommend it to any gamer. $49.99

Tried over 10 mice in the span of a year trying to find the best gaming mouse. From heavy mice to light mice. Multiple Logitech, multiple corsair, multiple steel series, multiple final mouse, Roccat, BenQ Zowie, Cougar and then the glorious Odin model O.

The glorious Odin model O is the best. Great buttons, the light weight is the way to go, great shape. I bought a backup of it for when I wear this one out.
