logitech elite
logitech mx500

you may want to go with a mx700 but i wouldn't, they are heavier and require recharging (not good for those 48 hour gaming session)
the elite is by far the best keyboard i have ever used, the features on it are amazing

I'd suggest the Logite Elite MX duo, or whatever they call it these days. The MX700 is too heavy? Now why was it everyone was spitting out $100 for those razors? Ahhh...It's weight was one reason. For gaming, I LOVE the heaviness of the MX700. There is no reason to pick the thing up it just slides across my RatPadz GS like it's made of teflon (maybe that's because of the teflon tape? )

This is a killer combo, and if you want to spoil yourself go completely wireless. It's definately worth it.

My favorite is the Microsoft Intellimouse Optical. It's great for games like CS and BF1942... I bind left to fire, right to jump, scroll to weapon select, left-side to reload and right-side to zoom. Love those extra buttons.

I think you mean ball, since almost all mice have "wheels" these days, and that is completely wrong. Optical mice are MUCH better than ball mice. I don't think I even need to explain why--they just are.

Uh... what? Optical mice often have wheels...
I assume you mean balls, not wheels. That was true a long time ago. Now, most optical mice have a superior resolution.

It's great for gaming--I have one myself. It performs just as well as any other mouse I've had (I've had a few MS intellimice) and now I don't have to deal with a cord.

I like the MX300 coz of the normaly styling but still the high res. The MX500/700 is to heavy for me, and the thumb divet makes it hard to use, since i lift the mouse like a 1mm and use my finger tips to push it along (weird eh?)

Any anyone who uses those MS opticals, there awful they have like rubber pads that grip the pad/desk like no tommarow. I hate em

Any corded Optical Logitech or Microsoft mouse will do fine.
If you go cordless, get the Logitech MX 700. It uses a faster transmission technology which gives you much better response for gaming than other cordless mice. Read the following review:

It depends on what feels the best for you. I used to play CS competitively online and at LAN events for money regularly before they completely destroyed the learning curve for newbie players and the only thing I could use was the MS Intellimouse Explorer after it came out. When the Logitech MX300/MX500 came out a lot of my friends switched over, but I stick with the Intellimouse Explorer because it feels better in my hand and I don't notice a difference in refresh rates. Just go to a B&M and see what feels the best for you...

I made the switch from a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0a to a Logitech MX700 a few months ago and don't believe I could ever go back. The MX700 is every bit as comfortable and smooth as the Microsoft, but it lacks the annoying wire attached to the end! I say for anyone, even a gamer, the MX700 is a must have...

MX500.

I'd say MX700 but I've seen several people say something along the lines of "OMG my m0use bats a43 g0ing d34d!11" (Translation: Oh my, my mouse batteries are almost dead). while playing CS . They complain that response gets sluggish when the batteries are low.

MX700 is also gonna cost you more.

I'll bet half of the people that say that don't actually have a cordless mouse. It's just the new fad excuse for sucking.
