Best gaming PC out there?

I'm not trolling or anything, I'm just wondering what is the best gaming PC out there without the question of money. IMO it's the Fang III Black Mamba.

I had to google that, because I had no idea what it was. Overpriced, and not the best. The best gaming PC is most likely one of the manufacturer sponsored systems some people build for electronics expos. Or do you mean "at home"? Well, it's still not that Mamba-thing.

The best gaming system still has to be something you build yourself I don't think you'll be able to buy a prebuilt system that will be as good as one you build

Define "best".

If "best" means absolute highest performance, then it would be some overclocked LGA2011 sporting quad-Crossfire 6990s and 32gb of RAM or whatever.
If "best" means most bang for the buck, then it would probably be an i5 2500K, 6950 2GB, 8GB of RAM, etc. If
If "best" means most power efficient efficient, it would probably be an undervolted i5, 6870, 8GB of 1.35V RAM, all-SSD build.

i mean an overclocked 3960X with 3 water-cooled 7970s with 64gb of ram, it's tough to get much better

possibly pre-overclocking the video cards and larger than 480gb SSD, but otherwise . . .

Anandtech used to do reviews on whole systems a couple times a year but I havent seen them in quite a while.

I'm guessing this is just daydreaming about buying the best but:

Money should always be a question.

So should your desire for having it "just work" or needing to mess with driver updates constantly to get crossfire / SLI to work properly.

Unless you're a mulch-millionaire it doesn't make sense to spend $10,000 on a gaming system using parts that will be obsolete in 2-3 years and that is only 2% faster than a $2,000 PC.

I use my gaming PC to play games, not to impress other people or to win benchmarking contests. I send the other $8,000 off to my brokerage account

What kind of pretty though? Anybody can build a neatly cable managed budget rig in a very flashy Lian Li case for similar visuals.

Not that they're bad looking, but they're really just off-the-shelf done nice. For visual quality to be at the same level as the top tier performance, I'd sooner look to Falcon Northwest. Of course, the paint job alone would cost as much as a respectable gaming system...
