The best HSF deal for the money I have noticed lately is:

The Vantec CCK-6035D

I purchased one locally from a pc shop for $22. which I thought was a very good deal for an all cu highly rated HSF ...........
Then I noticed the same HSF at CompUSA reboxed in clear plastic and bearing the CompUSA brand label for $19._ !

Pros: All copper, easy install retaining clip, good cooling, small size.

Cons: Loud fan.

Review of the Vantec at FrostyTech.........

Read some of my reviews maybe you will find one you like. Ive got more on the way OCModShop

I will say it one more time. GET THE SVC GC68, 80mm Fan quiet and cools fine! I have had success with SVC compucycle, but I understand JokerF15 (sorry if the handle isnt correct) from Anandtech sells this as well at his site, so I would say get it from him and support an Anandtech member ( I would have if I had known earlier).
I have the vantec and wasn't all that thrilled with it (even used an 80mm adaper). Needless to say I don't have it anymore.

GC68 is the best bang for bux at $15 dollars. It's also very quiet compared to most of the heatsinks mentioned here.

I beleive Golden Gate uses a 60mm fan whereas GC68 uses a 80mm fan. If you want quietness, get the GC68. IT already comes with a really quiet fan.

TI-V77. get it at newegg for $22, throw a 92mm fan on yours if you really want to. it comes with a big 70mm fan with 30cfm and is not very loud.

That's what I did, but I decided to build another computer and spend the extra $10 to get the Alpha 8045. I'm putting the V77L on my inlaws computer. It's nice and cools well. It's easy to install, cools nicely, fits on lots of boards, moderate noise level for that amount of cooling. I would try something else to see if I could find something better. I was satisfied with it, but I wasn't happy when I knew I could get something better for not much more.

Have you checked locally? I was supprised to find the Volcano6Cu+ for $9.99 and Volcano 7 for $19.99 at a local store. The 6Cu+ is too loud but the 7 is a very decent fan esp. for that price.
