Best high-end 19" Flat CRT?

I know this question gets asked alot, but I'm restarting the thread. I mostly surf and play games, but I'm willing to invest the money in a high-end monitor since I'll ALWAYS be looking at it.
I'd like to hear from people who have owned (or done thorough side-by-sides in the store) 19" flat CRTs. I bet I'm not the only one...these days, it seems like everyone would like to get their hands on a good 19" monitor, so I don't feel too selfish ;-). Anyway, I look forward to many posts...

I have a 17" KDS Av7tf (tritron), I know there have been a couple of threads where people have said that their KDS monitors were faulty and they had trouble getting a new one, but mine works fine and looks great. I have seen the 19 inch version and it looks just as good. I will sugest KDS even though a few people have had a problem with them, my experience has been nothing but good, and the KDS trinitrons seem to be priced less than the compition. Otherwise ViewSonic, Optiquest, and of course sony all make nice monitors. Personaly I think that the best way to pick out a monitor is to go to your favorite retail store and find the one that you like the best and then go home and find it online for the smallest price.

Yeah, I checked out the retailers around here y-day; seems to be quite a dearth of 19" monitors around. The display models were the ONLY models they had and they all had defects. I looked at KDS A90 and Viewsoniq PF790; the KDS looked better, but it was one of several KDS display models that had busted on/off buttons (looks like a packaging problem). It also has a "waterfall" running down the left side of the screen, so it must have been handled fairly roughly. I also saw a Sony, but the pixels were TOO distinct; I found that to be kind of irritating. I haven't been able to locate anyplace with Mitsubishi, Iiyama, or Hitachi monitors though...I may have to do some traveling to get an eyes-on test for these.

Yep, the best test is your own eyes. What other people might say looks sharp, you might say it looks blurry.
