Best high end power supply for $200 ??

Someone recommend me a power supply that is 850watts+

No more than $200

I want it to be slick and have excellent cable management.

I will go in an Ultra Tower Cosmos II case.

The case is very large and I will run 10 hdd's. I need to be able to accommodate this.

Edit 3 - You might need an ATX and/or 8pin power cable extensions, that Cosmos 2 is omgmassive and some review sites pointed out difficulty with cable lengths.

Yep any seasonic would be great or go for a Enermax or Kingwin if you are looking for the Platinum 80+ to help save on your power bill..

Also any Higher end Corsair PSU's are good as well.

Well, there's no "best PSU". Each unit has it's strong points and drawbacks. Anyway, you can get a PowerBird 900, which is an excellent unit that gets 10/35mV ripple (upper limits are 120/50mV) after getting roasted for 9 hours in the hot box...

Strider is a good deal, 1200w @ $194 = nice. However it only got an 8 @ JonnyGuru

I was going to suggest this 1000w OCZ because it's fully modular (helps with cabling those 10 HDs) and it got a 9.5 @ JonnyGuru.

That review is honestly opinionated, he took down the whole score just because it shutdown in the hot box while pulling 1200W. The Real Power Pro and the LS1000/1200 are based on the exact same design, both of which are (if you want to ensure by score) suggested (by JGuru himself) at 9.

It's a better unit than the OCZ ZX. It has a MOV to filter it's output against surges, with Japanese caps on the primary and a stronger build as a whole. It's made by Enhance, who also makes the Strider 1500. The ZX is made by a Chinese company called Great Wall. It's also a solid unit but that platform just doesn't have it all.

Not at all, the SeaSonic Platinum 1000 just got outdone by the Kingwin LZP-1000.

The LZP has lower ripple (30mV's against 60's of SeaSonic), better transient response and is cheaper. All the hype on SeaSonic's is for their rock solid regulation only.

Plus, the Zero-Phase Shift topology used in Platinum SeaSonic's cost twice as much to make as traditional double-forward primaries. The clamps, coils etc. used in them make those expensive.

You're right, this may be your PSU OP.

Insert blissful sigh here. Or was that sound really the sound of a sword just shaving a sliver of gold off Seasonic's crown? Look at the 12V ripple of this monster. 30mV. That's about half what I got with the Seasonic. I docked them a half point for that, you remember. This unit here is right up with the best of the ripple suppressors. Not as good as some of the Delta built Antec units I've had my hands on, but those kinds of units are once in a blue moon deals. Anything under 25mV gets no point deduction from me, unless the minor rails are rotten. And here, the minor rails are under half spec at all times. This one gets close enough I may allow it the no point deduction honor.

Seasonic is NOT made in the USA.

Seasonic and Kingwin are both great choices. I've used Kingwins in recent builds for people after years of Seasonic... no issues at all.
