The video is a bit odd, I need them for everyday use. I have to buy pants at least a size up in the waist for them to fit properly in the ass and quads. Like I can fit my fist in the waist of the pants I'm wearing today and I can walk around and they don't fall off.

I guess they were showing people squatting in them just to show the freedom of movement. I think it's a great idea, I've seen this conversation on a few strength forums, guys with athletic builds just have a really hard time getting jeans that fit right. My dad doesn't even lift weights, but he's athletic enough that jeans that fit his legs are 2-3 inches too big at the waist.

We were talking about these on my gym's private FB group...I think a few people might buy a pair.

Argh, minimum inseam is 34" but mine is about 29"-30"

I 'rarely' wear anything other than sweats because nothing fits me. we had a coaches dinner for my kids hockey program on friday and wore jeans for the first time in 2014... not enjoyable I would be willing to give a pair of these a shot considering they weren't crazy money, but a 32" inseam is about what I would want. 34" is pushing it a bit, I'm not that tall

If the minimum inseam were 32" I would probably get a pair and get them hemmed but almost 5 inches for me makes me think that the cut would look weird on my legs; like the generously cut portion would extend well below my knees.

Hopefully, if they start doing well, they will accommodate shorter inseams. It already looks like they've crushed their fundraising goal so that's a good sign.

geezes, just take your levis/pants to the tailor. Costs like $10. these are for lazy people. not to mention it's a boot cut so it's not people that really care about fashion. boot cut is horrible. ruins your natural lines. might be good if you're actually wearing boots but most of the time people aren't.

They have a straight cut.

I've gotten everything I ever paid for on kickstarter. I also choose to fund projects from companies that have already proven themselves with prior kickstarter campaigns.

I pay that or more for jeans that don't fit properly or offer any real mobility

I'm down to onnnnne pair of jeans on this planet that fits me.
A BKE Seth 38XL which I think is a 36 inch inseam. It is their "baggiest" pair and fits me great, so these barbell jeans might be perfect.

Damn, kickstarter ended yesterday, price on their website is $149... :/

I have pretty big thighs from lifting and Gap jeans fit perfect on me. I get them for ~$25 at the Gap outlet. Granted, I wouldn't be able to comfortably do a full squat or yoga poses in them, but I can't really think of a situation where I'd WANT to do either of those in jeans...

I'm in the same boat with BKE which are the only things I can fnid locally that come close to fitting. I still have to get them a size larger in the waist to fit.

Pretty big and 26-28"+ quads with a ~34" waist aren't the same. I think my quad to waist ratio is greater than average. I think I have one pair I can take comfortable steps up stairs let alone squat down comfortably.
