Can anyone explain - seriously, what the appeal of Conan is?

I find the guy irritating and childish, and his jokes are totally unfunny. Must be a cultural thing.

I used to love Conan, but after awhile, watching him do the same gags night after night just got kinda old.

Conan is easily the best by far. He's much funnier than any of the rest and he's also very likeable. Leno and Letterman are 2nd and 3rd
funniest.

Kilborn is extremely boring and a little annoying. Kimmel sucks complete ass. He's not only boring, he's extremely annoying. I did like him on the Man Show though. I guess it was more his thing.

After watching Conan for 7 + years I could not disagree more

his style of humor is the same but he has definitely changed over the years

and he is by far the best with the guests

the daly show I never find myself laughing hysterically unlike Conan , Chappelle's Show, or South Park

Conan makes way too damn many funny faces and retarded hand gestures, after a while it really gets annoying because the humor isnt there, so he retreats to his funny faces and hand gestures which gets old really quick unless you are a 3 year old.

IMO, Jon Stewart is the best interviewer (especially when he's interviewing non-celebrity political figures).

On most shows, the celeb being interviewed will come out, plug their latest project for a few minutes, and leave. Stewart actually gets them talking about interesting things (politics/current events).


I think what ruined Conan for me was that same opening joke every night since his first show ("we have a great show tonight, guys... I say this every night, and usually I'm lying, but tonight I really mean it."). the only Conan bit that I find really funny any more is Triumph, and even that's getting old.

Another vote for Jon. The Daily Show and Tough Crowd are my favorite shows on tv currently.

daily show is great
i like conan more than the other shows; they usually have a few good bits, but the other late night stuff isnt that good, never seen kimmel.

Tough Crowd really depends on who's on the show. Some nights, the show has me dying with laughter, and other nights, I just wish I were dying.

I'm usually in the shower when it's on, but if not, I'll watch it -- not like there's much competing with it in its timeslot.
