Best LCD Monitor

I'm planning on buying a new monitor within the next week, and have decided on an LCD monitor due to the space that it saves. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good LCD monitor preferable at least 17inch. Also, I should mention that I am a gamer, so I would like a monitor that does not hinder gaming.

I have an NEC Multisync 1720M and love it. I had a KDS before and the viewing angle on this one is so much better as well as the color. Not to mention its black

Go for EIZO, they have the best LCD monitor. However, for a gamer, I would recommend CRT monitor for you.

Based on the newest Samsung 24" LCD panel with faster response time and higher brightness than their own 240T (which is going to be using this new TFT soon).

I searched and search Eizo's site and couldn't find the best LCD monitor. JungleJoe, which one is it?

THe IBM one is the best one in existence.

The T221 is definitely sweet, and it's nice that it dropped $9k or so in price (down to $8,399), but it's really only good for static pages thanks to the 50ms total average response time and the fact that no gaming card can drive it at native res.
