Best LGA 1366 motherboard?

I'm finally getting ready to do another build and already have the CPU and RAM. I've been checking NewEgg and other places and everything is all over the map. The recent Gigabyte boards seem to have gotten a lot of defects lately and it's reflected in their recent user reviews. Looking to spend AROUND $200 and looking hard at the EVGA GT 131. Is there any insight here as to the consensus LGA 1366 mobo choice? I was all set to go Gigabyte until I saw the recent reviews.

I know this is pretty much subjective. Just hoping there's a consensus somehow. I went for the consensus choice on the LGA 775 side of things (Gigabyte EP45-UD3P) and that worked out very well.

For $200, I'd say the UD3R.

Honestly any of the top tier boards will be fine. Asus, Gigabyte, EVGA, Even MSI has been good the last few years.

My P6X58D-E has been working out great for me. Also used a few UD3R's in builds that are working fine.

I have the Asus Sabertooth X58 attached to my 950 and P6X58D-E attached to my 970. Both boards working great.

I know u said less than 200 but id look hard at the asus re3 formula...i built my system a year ago but if i was building now id find a way to get the formula board...1366 is so blinding fast, it amazes me with new things i try...

Yeh, more than $200 if it's a strong board. I decided on this platform because it's proven and stable. Few bucks here and there really doesn't matter. The only reason Gigabyte bugs me as a choice is because they've been getting so much negative feedback from users of the latest spins of their LGA 1366 motherboards lately.

That is why you want a Gigabyte. I would spend the extra $100 and get the X58A-UD5. I'm not sure about recent negative reviews, but I have the Ver.1 purchased in January 2010.

i have a X58A-UD3R version 1, i was one of the first people on here to get one when they first came out, never had an issue with it

So, sabertooth. Its cheaper, but it also doesn't seem to be recommended nearly as much as the UD3R. Can someone tell me why people prefer the UD3R over it even though they seem so similar? Is it just brand preference?
I only plan on taking my i7 to 4.2-4.4, so the increased OC capability doesn't really matter to me.

Already grabbed some Corsair Dominator DDR3-1600 sticks, which appeared to be the consensus choice on that platform.
