Best Local/LD phone deal yet!!!

OK. First MCI The Neighboorhood was a great deal. Everything local, local toll & LD for $50. Also I was told there is no "activation charge".

However MCI has now thrown in the first month free. There's $50 more right?

THEN BlockBuster throws in SIX free rentals plus 1 for each $25 spent per month (at least two more freebie rentals a month?).

But wait! It gets better!!! By calling 800.393.4004 instead of signing up over the web you get four more free rentals for a total of ten.

Sweetass huh?

If you don't have a TV you can get Airline Miles instead of free rentals.

Out here in Illinois I was paying SBC Ameritech $80 a month with fewer amenities and no free LD or local toll calls!!!

I tried it for a couple of months, but gave it up when the "real cost" was over $60 after adding taxes and surcharges. That was just a bit much to justify! I'm now trying an SBC Ameritech calling features package that costs me about $48 a month (I was more interested in the calling features rather than the LD) that was NOT available previously in Indiana. IF I don't use the calling features enough to justify the package, I'll go back to Voice Mail 98 and caller ID, the two services that are "must have" for me.

Let's go over my SBC/Ameritech bill. I got it right here...

First off SBC Ameritech tries to not sell you thier "Economy Solution". Only after I said to the telemarketeer "I'm looking at it on your web site" would he admit to a cheaper package. That is $32. Butt wait! Voice mail is another $5.

Dig this! They charge me another $1 for a "Ameritech Voice Mail Feature Package" which transefers the call to Voice Mail when my line is busy. Now why ain't that included in my $5 I already paid for Voice Mail?

Sleazy huh? Welcome to Ameritech.

Throw on tax and crap we all gotta pay and it's $53. That's WITHOUT:

- Free Local Toll Calls
- Free Movie Rentals

If you never make LD calls MCI's cheapass package is Neighborhood Choice @ $32 a month. Dig

And for the nimrod talking about onesuite this is local service package, something totally differant.
