Best looking heatsink/fan combo?

Gonna use it on a 1.1 Athlon. I'm not gonna overclock so I don't need hedgehog or Alpha performance. I need a good looking combo. Like one of them with the colors. Which one would be a respectable performer?

One Question, Why do you want a good-looking cooler?

SEcond thing, the only thing remotely respectable for a 1.1ghz t-bird is the super orb. Any other orb will run the cpu, but not at acceptable temps.

I should have answered that hehe. I'm getting a clear acrylic case. So the look is important. Thanks I'll look for these super orbs.

They're made by ThermalTake, and are quite distinctive-looking, being tall and silver coloured.

The orbs are the only ones that are sorta stylish. However, their performance is not really up to the challenge of cooling a 1.1GHz Tbird. Like Mikewarrior (mr. cooling guru) says, the super orb is the only orb that you would even consider putting on your CPU.

Personally, I'd go with something better.

i'd rather have an alpha or taisol on there then any orb, anyone looking at it in the know would realize it's a much better choice and be far more impressed then a gorb. most of the general audiance though i suppose if that's who you're trying to impress would think that'd be a cool looking spiral thingie on there, wow ! guess it kind of depends who you're trying to impress

Personally, I would be much more impressed if I saw an Alpha or, better yet, a Hedgehog on there.

i think the taisol cgk with a 60x25mm would look good just because of it's size.

The Alpha 6035 doesn't make any noise... the fan you put on it does. Yeah, I know, smart a**.

But seriously, it all depends on the fan you choose and the CFMs that you want.

Oh I got it. Get an Alpha and buy it with a fan that has a grille on it. Attach it so that it sucks out air. Then, you get some flourescent plastic strips and attach them to the grill so that when you turn the fan on they'll wave around and look all pretty.

For added effect, put a blacklight in there for more vibrant color.

IT is much cleaner now, I re-ran all the wires and got rid ofmy Promise card so I don't have IDE strips going to the PCI slots area.
