Best mobo for a 2400+?!?!

Well you could get the new Nforce2 chipset boards. They are loaded with features and also has Dual DDR....don't think that has huge gains but sounds good anyway!
The Asus board with the Nforce2 looks great.

Otherwise a lot of people are keen on the Epox line of boards.

do you want a packed with features board or strictly overclocking?

epox 8k3a+ was an awesome overclockers board
asus a7v333 is a pretty good board from personal experience (xp1800+ to 1.8ghz)
asus a7v8x seems like a good board from the features perspective (but i would wait for nforce 2 instead of this, and then see the reviews)

If you want full multiplier manipulation to drop the mult down and run higher FSB, then stay away from the 8K3A and 8K5A series. These were my favorite OCing mobos until I got my 2400+ in and found out that you can adjust the mult with these mobos without unlocking the chip and then only getting the lower mults out of it.
I agree with the NForce2 choice if you can afford one. I couldn't wait for them to come out, so I bought the A7V8X which gives me full mult adjust of the proc

You might want to take a look at the Epox 8K9A2+ KT400 board. It allows the full range of multiplier selection on the 2400+ CPU's with no unlocking. It also comes with a ton of features like USB 2.0, 5.1 sound, onboard LAN, S-ATA, and ATA133/RAID for ~ $120.

You got to love Epox!!! Great price and chalk full of features...I wish Asus can take a page from that book....
