Best mobo for Athlon XP

After recently going through hell with a Dragon Plus, I need to find a new board or boards to use when building Athlon XP based systems.

Any suggestions?

I need a stable, compatible and fast board with lots of features if possible (integrated NIC is a plus, for example). Overclocking isn't important to me at all.

For lots of features I would suggest you look at Gigabyte boards. Generally, they are feature packed and quite dependable.

I am running a Shuttle AK35GTR. It has Highpoint Raid and a C-Media 5.1 sound and cost Less than $99 for the New KT333 version the Shuttle AK35GT2R.

Mine run great, even overclocks pretty good.

I chose the Epox 8K3A+ due to its placement in the top of the benchmarks consistently from web site to web site either at the top or the next one down. The MSI, for instance, is at the top of some but the bottom of others.

My install was flawless. I have never put a mobo into a case and added a processor and power supply on top of it. I did this with my Epox and a 1900+ XP and then all the various drives. It booted on first try and has not locked up once under Windows XP Pro.

It does not have all those built in features. It does not have a built in NIC, it does have 6 channel sound with SPDIF if you get the revision 1.2. It does have Highpoint RAID - mine is set up as RAID 0 and that was flawless.

You may be happier with the ABIT KX7. It also places high, has raid, and an onboard NIC

Another vote for Gigabyte.

I recommend Gigabyte 7VRXP board. It's a sweet board if ya ask me. It's loaded with features I need and the best thing about this motherboard is it has dual BIOS.
