Best Mobo for under $150?

Hi all I am wondering what you all think is the best mobo out there for an amd 2400 and also 2200. I am currently running a soyo dragon KT333 ultra plat and very impressed....thanks again for the info in adv...

so your impressed eh? well then, dont buy a new mobo! the kt333 is still great

Your best bet would probably be an Nforce2 board, and the top two to check out would be the Asus A7N8X Deluxe or the Epox 8RDA+. They are arguably the top two Athlon boards out right now, and would work extremely well with a high end XP.

Another alternative if you like flashy boards like the Soyo would be Chaintech's Nforce 2 board, the 7NJS. However, it is a bit over your price range @ around $175. It does have a complete package though..

Take a look at the Asus P4PE/L/LAN/SATA/1394/USB2/RAID board - it is a good board that can handle P4's up through 3 GHz.

Was gonna go Asus, Newegg was out, so I went for an ECS L4S8A2 board.. same features as the P4PE cept no Gigabit LAN (oh noooo!), saved a buncha money and lost like 3% performance.. hooray Ok, that was way off topic.. I just installed this motherboard tonight w/ a 2.4B and it rocks, so I'm kinda pumped is all, hehe

As for the AMD related question..My second rig is a KT333 7VRXP and it rocks with most any app you throw at it. If you like your motherboard, then keep it, ya know? Is Soyo coming out with a Dragon for the newer chipsets, maybe?

Thanks again for all of the info. I am still going to keep the soyo kt333 and run my 2200 with it and prob unlock it and overclock it.....if anyone has any success with this plz let me know. But I am going to prob just get a kicking new board for the 2400...thanks again
