best moment ever in bc2?

Shooting down helicopters with a tank always makes me a happy man, especially when I do it by mistake, that's even better.

I haven't played it much, but I had something sweet happen yesterday. It was a wide open map with rolling hills and open plains (forget the name) w/ helis on hardcore conquest. Near the end somebody in a heli was hovering over B. I was able to snipe the passenger through the window, call in an air strike, shoot the pilot and then the air strike took out the rest of the team that spawned and jumped in the heli right after.

Too bad we still lost. I normally do really terribly in hardcore but I did pretty well last night. Lots of kills, several caps... must be the influx of people even newer than me

It's a flaw with the games technology. It's been doing this shit since day 1 and I have 30mb down/5mb up. I've tried to play on servers with less than 100ms of latency(these almost do not exist it seems) and it does that shit constantly. I gave up on the game a long time ago.

I remember just shooting people at point blank and not getting anything. They'd be like, "Lol, did you just shoot me? It didn't register. NOW DIE"

To many snipers but if im lucky to find a few i love mowing them down with my m60 like grass:thumbsup:

i have one moment that stood out over all the other ones.

i was playing on atacama conquest as an engineer with AT4, coming down from the hill from A when i see the enemy tank rollin by right next to me. excited to take on the tank, i pull out my AT4 and immediately i see another tank rollin up next to it and then another one. so there are 3 tanks all bunched up together. so at that point i'm thinking i'll be lucky to just take out 1 out of the 3 tanks. so i shoot the nearest tank with the AT4 (from behind) and the tank driver gets out, even though it wasn't about to blow up or anything. so i get in his tank and proceed to blow up the other 2 tanks from behind and they had no idea until it was too late. then some random enemy engineer dude comes out of nowhere and trys to rocket my tank. and i get out of the tank, and he gets in it. then i blew him up too, lol. hilarious and definitely a "battlefield" moment. if the first tank driver didn't get out, i probably would've gotten wasted.

This is what battlefield rocks, i've been in similar situations....fun as hell.

And now that the sale is over, and the servers are not being slammed you made an account right? I mean... it'd be REALLY stupid to wait for the next big sale, so it's a good thing you made one already.

I kind of agree. I think the game itself is just pretty buggy. Even BF2 was always buggy for me, which is a bummer because they're always so damn fun. Texture/tree pop-in is really bad regardless of map.

If you've never played it, it will be an extreme exercise of your patients. I'm decent at CS, TF2, UT etc. But in BC2 & BC2 Viet I get killed 20 times for every 1 kill I get. The snipers make every server I've joined unplayable for me.

Oh yeah those snipers are tons of fun in maps like heavy metal they group in groups of 5 sometimes

Early days of Arica Harbor Rush, I had an amazing sniper shot with the SV98. This was before people knew where all the sniping points were (and would mortar them incessantly) and before they realized that the towers were instant death.

From the US spawn, behind one of the concrete barriers, I zeroed in on a guy in the far tower. The first shot went a little high, so I readjusted and put the second one right between his eyes. 50 + 10 + 423 marksman points.

Second best probably has to be the threefer I got. 1 shotgun slug, 3 head shots.

Early on certain things seemed amazing the first time. First time you knifed a crowd of dudes, first time you basically wiped a team singlehandedly, first time you roadkilled a guy with a UAV, inside a building.

any one of the numerous times I've won ace pin using only the repair tool for kills on an infantry only map

the other would be right after they released White Pass Rush and one player was able to destroy both MCOMs on the 2nd set with one C4 run (they stupidly put both MCOM stations inside buildings to where you could quickly destroy them with Destruction 2.0 instead of arming, and it only takes 3 well placed buffed C4s to bring down a building, add on the explosives expansion and you get 6 x C4 ). There were so many times where I'd simultaneously destroy both single-handed before the defenders had even fully fallen back from their 1st base, prompting a maelstrom of "WTF!"s. What's worse is that the final set of MCOMs could be destroyed in much the same fashion

I'll go ahead and say that I was spawn camping in a server that didn't allow it one day, the awesome thing was, that there was no admins around to kick/ban me. I was running around as a medic, and most of my team was spawning in also as medics. It was alot of fun.

The other thing was I once threw c4 on my helicopter and rammed it into a transport heli, and detonated.

Probably my favorite thing to do is to get a blackhack and fly around crushing snipers with it. Once I threw a brick of c4 on a heli and landed it by some enemies, they took it a flew off.

I would be willing to bet that I am that guy that pisses off most of the other players.

I have this fond memory of playing conquest on Arica Harbor (PS3) with a buddy of mine. I took up sniping at the top of the brick building by capture point A while my friend stayed around the building on the ground level. I didn't go out and capture much, but I soon had the ire of the whole team from sniping with the M95, since I had just unlocked it and wanted to bronze star it.

I had a steady stream of snipers trying to shoot back and mortar strike the building, and everyone who came into the building got nailed by my friend. I finished the match with 40 kills and 2 deaths.

Basically whenever I manage to shoot down a moving helicopter with a rocket. Some people can do it with their eyes closed, for me it's a bit more rare but definitely rewarding.

Heavy metal. My twin and I usually always play together. We were harassing A as US and the Russian heavy chopper and attack chopper both got into the air at same time.. the attack chopper came in close with rockets and cannon.. I don't know how he didn't get me, but I sent a 40mm at him as he flew by from the flag pole and killed the gunner (? Didn't know that could happen) As he was turning around the heavy Russian chopper was sending cannon fire down on us, I flipped to the tracer gun and nailed it while screaming into our vent server "chop's been traced!" to my brother (playing engi) who screamed back "heavy armor coming from their base, i already put one in it!"
the rocket shot out and smoked the heavy chopper for two kills.
The attack chopper came in for another strafing run without a gunner and i plopped a 40mm at him again and it killed the pilot.. the chopper went dead and crashed in front of me. The enemy tank ended up smoking both of us but it was too late, we capped A and took out both choppers.
It was a lot of fun.

I've only played for about 8 hours so my best moment might not be that great.

Driving around the map like a madman, got a 9 kill streak just by running people over with quad bikes, pretty damn fun.

I enjoy shooting down choppers with my main tank gun. One time, a couple of douchebags in a chopper got the bright idea to come down and hover directly in front of me -- I think they watched one too many episodes of Blue Thunder or Airwolf and paid for it with a tank shell to their cockpit.

My all-time favorite moment in a video game would be some of my kills in Joint Ops. Nothing screams hilarity like planting claymores around your enemy's armory, on stairs leading to the boat cockpit, or even better, planting satchel charges on boats or choppers, letting them fill with 5+ guys, and then blowing them up after take off.

They're douchebags for doing that? That seems pretty harsh. I'm sure they were just trying to enjoy a game as you were, wonder if they name called.
