Best Motherboard and Processor for $100 or less?

I am upgrading my little brother's comp, which is currently a P2 400...

I have all of the parts (I am only recycling a few parts from the P2 400 system) already except for the motherboard and processor. I would like to spend no more than $100, but it can be close to the limit. I am hopefully looking for a 1 gigahrtz or faster, maybe a low end AMD Athlon XP?The only drawback is, the motherboard must be SDRAM(PC-133) compliant, because I have oodles of PC-133 laying around, but no DDR or RAMBUS. Buying new RAM would cost a lot, so please, sdram only Thanks in advance!

Athlon CPU's are pretty cheap and have good bang for the buck, so I would go with AMD. Also, usually most KT266A and KT133A motherboards have dual DDR and PC133 support. So you can use your old ram, but still have the option to upgrade a bit later on.

A mobo that I have recently used was the Syntax SV266A. It has onboard sound and LAN, with PC133 and DDR support. I got it for $42.00 w/ free shipping from AccuPC. I don't know if they are still doing that promotion, but I thought it was a damn good deal.

An Athlon XP combo with a 1700+ will give the best performance if you can find a mobo under about $60 since the cpu will be $40 to $50.

Motherboard

Celeron CPU's:
1.8GHz
2.0GHz

The celerons will come with a stock fan that will do the job nicely, generate less heat, and will run quieter. AMD Athlon XP will give you higher performance but with higher noise and heat.
