Their is no best mother board for the 1.4GHz, You have to get the best main board for you on what you want in a board, The boards have got to the point now that any of the new boards are going to make good computer if they are put together right with the right parts, So just get the Kt266a chipset and if you look at the reviews or talk to someone that builds a lot of computer their isn't that much difference in the performance it is just do you want a plain jane or a loaded board
Depends on what you gonna use on the mobo, memories, etc, and how much you want to spend.
But in my opinion go DDR and the a mobo with the KT266A chipset, best chipset out there right now.
Buy a KT266A board and a stick of 256 PC2100 and youre set.
but other people are right on this.. what do you use it for? i mean, if you already have SDRAM and only want to spend a little cause you aren't heavy into gaming, then buy a KT133A board.. if you want good performance and have some extra money to spend, buy a DDR setup which would mean you have to buy RAM and a mobo (obviously)... I would personally get the K7T266Pro2 from MSI and 512 of DDR.
I just built a new setup and have been running it for 3 days now.
