I am looking to see what most people think is the best mobo for an AMD64 3000+ or the 3200+. I have always been a abig ASUS fan and see what my options are.....thanks in advance for all of the information!
I've always had problems with Epox boards. I've heard nothing but good about the chaintech. Asus has always been good to me. If you are gonna be overclocking, make sure and get one with the nforce3-250 gb chipset, as it has agp/pci lock. For serious overclocking, go with the DFI lanparty UT nf3-250gb.
Those 2 are fine but not the 'best board' as kalex2 was asking.
The Epox does not have RAID I think and the Chaintech is a budget board with a still broken cool-and-quiet functionality.
Better boards would be the Asus 8KN variants, Soltek SL-K8AN2E-GR. The new DFI Lanparty got rave reviews. All boards discussed are for socket 754
I just picked up that epox board on newegg 10mins ago with a 3000+ for the rents. We are ready for 64bit I guess you could say. Anyone own it? I am looking for a more in depth view into it other than babble at the newegg reviews.
