Best mousepad?

Just wondering, what's the best mousepad out there these days?

I've gone through one Everglide, which was very good, but could scrap the ever part, I wore it down after like 3 months.
Then my two Ratpadz, they're been quite a bit more durable, but not nearly as good, mostly cause they're both slightly bent, so they have a hard time laying still on the desk, since only 3-4 of the rubber feet will touch the desk at any given time.

So, what's a good and durable pad?
The ones that are available in the shop where I usually buy stuff are the following:
Icemat
ThermalTake aluminum pad
Func surface
ANd something just called SteelPad

Does anyone have any oppinions on these?
Sounds like an aluminum pad would last a while.

You wore down an Everglide in three months? Been using mine pretty constantly the past 3-4 years and it's still going strong. Not even the logo has chipped. You've been playing frisbee with it haven't you?

Hmmm if you are wearing them out I would probably go with the SteelPad,the Black Icemat is ok since it`s made of glass but not all optical mice work well on it.

Your other option would be Everglide Mouse Skatez on your mouse feet.

You know with the ratpadz you can bend it back into shape

Heh, I think I just have heavy hands or something
Roughly 50 percent of the surface on my EverGlide was worn down pretty bad after those 3 or so months, but being too lazy to get a new one, I kept it for a while, I'd say it took like 5-6 months before I got it changed, by then, all the surface cept for the edges was so worn down that you could barely notice there had ever been a pattern on it, the Quake3 logo was just a redish smear.

Anyways, Mem, thanks for the tips, have you used the SteelPad yourself?

Well, optical mice are out, since they all come with scrollwheels, and I hate scrollwheels, hence, Im stuck with Logitech's PilotMouse.

I have an XTRAC Zoom and I love it, been using it for about 9 months and it is still perfect. I used to have an original XTRAC, then an XTRAC Pro, then an XTRAC Hard Surface, which were very nice also, but the Zoom is flat and more thin than a credit card! I also use the XTRAC Eels on my mouse and that works very well also. These things are very nice and cheap, only like $15. I know the owner and often go to some local LAN's with him so I usually get hooked up with a discount and he has me try his products also...oh yeah, I also have thier Wrist Wrest which again, is very nice. I would have bought their Hammer but it is giant, even bigger than the Giganta. here are some links to reviews and their resellers: resellers, reviews

I'm using a mouse pad that I got from UPS (the shipping company) for being a buissiness member or something. I love it, it has to be the best mouse pad I have ever had.
