Ah ok, for some reason I thought there was an actual prequel at some point. This sounds like it just slightly expands upon the opening of the original film.

I may be thinking of the Texas Chainsaw remakes. :hmm:

I saw The Conjuring the other day and thought it was pretty good for a horror film. I'd recommend it.

one thing i thought was very cool about that movie that my brother and i discussed after we watch it ...

I don't know why people think the movie Halloween is scary. It's no better than Friday the 13th. Amusing at best.

Nightmare on Elm Street or The Exorcist.

I like the remake of Salems Lot too. Although not that scary. I think it was made sometime in circa '05. I have the DVD.

dude you can't call out halloween or fritday the 13th for not being scary, then say nightmare on elmstreet. those movies are basically comedies.

halloween just owns because of the atmosphere of the movie. the sound is incredible in that movie.

Halloween (2007) and Halloween 2 (2009). Malcolm McDowell is pretty much perfect in these.
