best o.c memory out there - corsair pc2700 256MB $141 shipped

This is just about the best pc2700 o/cing memory you can get right now. It comes with heat spreaders. Its expensive but this is the cheapest price I could find

Since the last time I oc'd was with a PIII1Ghz (in other words a LONG time ago...), I've come to ask myself if the sacrifice in time, patience, system stability, and money, to name just a few major issues, is really worth it for the extra 100 or 200Mhz people get from this. This corsair memory is nearly double than very good memory from Crucial, and for the difference on two such sticks, one could just buy the top of the line CPU and not have to worry about having to overclock it.

Just a thought...

I guess the bragging rights are worth it.

$141 for 256 megs of memory? I"m not crapping on you, but I can't find the hot deal in that. I paid that for 2 sticks of 256 meg crucial pc2100, and I thought that was a cold shower compared to DDR memory deals of the recent past.

You guys who got the crucial memory still don't see that this is pc2700 and its quality is more then double of crucials, but then again I still dont think i'll be spending $141 on 256 either , but to clarify, the reason its so highly priced is because of its 'great quality'....

Nah, I saw it just fine. But I've only got a 1.4 Ghz Athlon and cannot imagine spending almost $300.00 on a couple of sticks of memory.

Yea expensive but a great company. Had one of my 256 pc2400 sticks go bad, that lifetime warrenty is great. They were very helpful. Very OC able too.
