Best online RPG

I have an 11year old that is intersted in playing an online RPG
I don't play those games (more of Q3 and MOHAA guy) and I need some input.
I hope to find something that is fun, doesn't cost an arm and a leg, and has a friendly community.

i'm currently playing ragnarok online
it's currently in beta testing stage, so the game may give you problems sometime (login error, disconnect, etc).
most of the players i meet are teenage thai people, and some others are from the states, canada, etc

community wise, there are good and bad people scattered around, since it's an mmorpg after all ... some nice people will give you weapon and zenny (their money currency) to start, while others will steal your experience point (by killing the monster you're attacking) and looting items dropped by that monster

they also implement bad language filter (which can't be bypassed without a hack), for those who think it's a good thing (so you can't say things like crap or sex) -- but of course this has nothing to do with games -)

anyway... that's what i will recommend ... just make sure to get enough sleep and don't get too addicted to this thing

none, I wont recommend any RPG games period to a 11 yr old. Have him learn how to write C++, SQL, unix, CAD, and VB would be much better .
