Best overall settings for an HDTV?

I recently acquired an HDTV I only use my PS3 for, but maybe later in the future I might use it for, well, "watching TV".

All I know is that it's a Sony Bravia HX75, but searching Sony's site shows me a bunch of results. I'm fairly certain it's either of these:

KDL-40HX755
KDL-40HX753

Go ahead and use Google Translate if you wish, I couldn't seem to find either of the two on Sony US's site.

I'd recommend optimizing it with Disney's WOW disc. It should give you some good results.

I don't know if those settings are good for the PS3. I have to this date only used the TV for the console. Would I be better off asking this question in the console section? I don't know, really, it's more TV related.

I would go to AVS Forum, find the owner's thread for your particular TV, and find the "best" settings (the ones that most people agree are the best)...they should be posted there somewhere. Sometimes they are in the first post, sometimes you have to dig deeper.

you are the only one that can determine what is the best setting. people can just give you settings that they prefer or are close to a calibrated display.

Yeah, and I would try them to see if they play nice with my crappy eyes and/or my PS3.
