best p3 slot 1 mobo please

well on my search i have only found 1 mobo which was a dual slot 1 . thanks to the help i got here

since the board is a lil outdated and i feel over priceed ( still debating that) i was wondering what you recommend for a single processer solution . anyone ?

If you don't mind VIA chipsets, there was a few dual slot-1 boards there also.

Ebay has all these boards for about $100 each.

Is the Asus P3B-F board even available? Excellent board, but nobody sells it locally.

If you can find one, an Asus P2B-F will also do for a Slot 1 although it's not jumperfree and has no built-in voltage adjustments for overclocking.

i have a full comp sitting here , i have 2 p3 450's i figured it might be cheap if i just pick up a 80 dollor mobo and a use one of the 450's . basicly its just to make a server , something to sit here and run a FTP and lil stuff , might put apache in it too

The P3B-f is a 440BX board right? Will it be able to do 133MHz FSB without throwing the PCI and AGP bus speeds out of whack?

I got a p3v4x and think it is great. Though, I might go as far as say you sell the parts you got and get a cheapy integrated board cellery or duron. Probably cost you as much...

actualy im thinking about just upgrading my 1.1 ghz to a XP 2000 (1.67) getting a new mobo and ddr ram , giving this comp to my GF and taking her p3 500 that already works and making that into a server

i win 2 times this way lol

Yes it can do 133MHz FSB with no problem. It has a 1/4 PCI divider for the 133 FSB setting but it will throw your AGP card out of wack (only 2/3 divider available). But, if you have a PCI video card or an AGP card that can take the 89MHz AGP speed (Voodoo3 or GF2 card to name two) everything will runs perfect. Oh, and you'll need some PC133 memory.
