I currently have too much data on my external hard drive to pile onto another but I want to install Windows vista on it then use it as my primary drive while still keeping the files. I don't know how Vista does it's install but I figure it wipes the partition clean and then installs. That is not acceptable, so I need a good partitioning program to make it so it turns one partition that is about 900GBs large to about 800GBs and then make another partition for Vista. Do you know of any programs that actually work? In my experience a lot of them screw this up and then make TONS of errors on the hard drive forcing me to actually reinstall the whole OS that destroys all my data.
