Best PCI video card?

What's the best PCI video card out there? I have a voodoo 3 3000 right now.

what do you use your system for? what are your system specs?

Currently it's the 64mb Radeon 9000 PCI, but if and when VisionTek releases their 128mb Radeon 9100 PCI, it will become the fastest PCI card available.

pentium 3 500 (i think)
256 megs of pc100 RAM (max ram i can have, fastest speed)
is there anything else?

I'm also thinking of upgrading my HDD ... how hard is it to install a new one?

One thing I'd always do before I buy new hardware, go to newegg.com and select "shop by category" then select video cards. Within that search you can just select pci and read all of their selections and see what ratings newegg users have given them. I'd do that much to get a feel for some of the entries even if I didn't necessarily intend to buy from newegg.

at your speed, dont bother for the 9100 or the 9000. Maybe go for a geforce 4 mx420. Reason is, I used to have a 533mhz amd processor, and a gf2mx400.
Anyways I tried to run renegade on it, it meets the requirements, and ran about 10 - 15 frames/s. I got a new 1800+ athlon xop system, and runs well over 80fps on same settings. So what im trying to say is, your cpu is starving your card. The only reason i said mx420 is cause they dont selll geforce2's to my knoledge anymore. Get a geforce 4 mx, or a geforce 2 mx if you can find one, no matter what card you get, you wont have better performance then a gf2 mx.
So IMO, oyu should get a new comp, but for video, get a cheap gf4 mx420 pci. The best pci is way out of your league.

what about best pci card for a 2nd display.... not necessarily needed for 3d. I was thinking about a g450 pci
I want it to run a 2nd lcd via the dvi connector

would dvds play on the 2nd display OK if I used that card?

Anyone know when this 128mb Radeon 9100 PCI is slated to come out??? I have a server that I would LOVE to put this in since it has no AGP slots,
