Which card right now is the best price/performance ratio?
Does Atech still produce buyers guides for budget/Mod and expensive systems?

8800GTS comes to mind in the high-end section.

Stock it has a good price/perf ratio. Overclocked it has even a higher price/perf ratio.

I would say X1950XT. For $250, it really cant be beat.

It really depends on how much performance you are looking for. but the short answer is that the X1950XT is tough to beat.

BFG7900GS. It is the only 7900GS that unlocks to 24pp/8vp (7900GT config).

Mine is running @ 575/1650, and cost me $160 CAD + taxes after $40 rebate.

In conclusion the X1900XT 256MB beats all and X1950XT beats up X1900XT. Winner is X1950XT

We're talking performance for the price.

In BFG 7900GS case, it is a $185 (currently @ newegg) overclocked (not stock) 7900GT (or in my case volt modded to 7900GT-O-).

Up here in Canada I got it basically for $160 CAD (approximately $139 USD) after the $40 CAD rebate, where the cheapest x1950pro is $243 CAD (approx. $211 USD), which is > 50% more than what I paid for my 'faster than 7900GTO'.
