Best place to buy a 360?

Where is the best bang for my buck when it comes to purchasing an xbox 360? My friend told me that he would pay for my Vegas trip if I would buy an xbox 360 so i could play XBL with him. I'm going on the Vegas trip either way so I might as well take him up on the offer and get an essentially free 360. I would be interested in bundles that include XBL subscription, etc as well.

Check on Slickdeals.net and Cheapassgamer.com first as well. Amazon is usually the best price since you (usually) get no sales tax and you can also get free shipping if you're not in a hurry. But once in a while you get get a monster deal elsewhere. A few months ago Target had a deal where they were selling a 360 Arcade for $130 and also gave you a $50 gift card (so it was essentially $80).

Slickdeals mentions a huge YMMV for getting an old elite 360 for $125 at radioshack. I wouldn't bet on it, but probably worth a shot.

I bought both of mine used, the first on [H]ardforum and the second on Craigslist (and just helped a buddy buy his first on Craigslist). As long as you're careful with how you do it you can save yourself alot of $$. Make sure it's not modded or banned from XBL, call Xbox and transfer ownership over to yourself, profit.

My buddy just bought a 4GB "S" Arcade model that was 1 month old and came with Halo Reach for $170.

If you are willing to wait a few weeks I would suggest trying to get one on boxing day/during boxing week. Most of the big box stores (Wal-Mart, etc.) always have major clearances on consoles every year after Christmas to sell their excess stock.
