Best place to buy games online?

Where is the best place to buy PC games online? I'm looking for the Newegg of PC Games. Where is a great site that sells many games at cheap prices?

Newegg has PC games.

I've ordered 3 games from Newegg, and I've never been disappointed. Doom 3, Quake 4, HL2. Well, except in the games themselves that is.

Just read the descriptions carefully to make sure you aren't getting an imported version of a game like Quake4 if you want US support. The import versions are usually cheaper though.

Gogamer is a good site, but if you want to know where the best deals are you should check out cheapassgamer.com. They don't sell games, it is a forum to discuss deals on games. Essentially a hot deals site just for games.

i like direct2drive when i want a game and don't have time or don't feel like driving to the store (which is about 45 minutes one way for me) but their selection is horrible and the prices are pretty expensive, especially for newer games that you can get elsewhere for about $10-20 cheaper.

I :heart: Direct2drive.

Since I don't live in the US or Canada, it gives me access to many games I wouldn't be able to play otherwise, like Oblivion, for example. So far I've bought Far Cry, Civilization IV, and the aforementioned Oblivion from them without any problems. I can always max out my connection from their servers. Sure, sometimes you have to download over 4GBs of content, but I just let it download at night or when I'm at work and I'm set.

I do agree that I'd probably wouldn't use it if I did live in the US, but since I don't, D2D is a GODSEND

And definitely check out the For Sale / For Trade forums here . Alot of us are more than happy to sell a game at 50 - 75% of what retail costs after one use. I hardly buy new anymore unless there's really a game I've been waiting for.

most games aren't even worth full retail price any more anyway.

I have another question. If I buy from gogamer, does it come with the retail box and everything you would get at a place like Best Buy?

i would assume so. i never bought from there though.

Yes, but see note above about imports. (Nothing to worry about if you actually read their description before buying)

Some only come in a jewel box. The ones I've ordered all say "Jewel box only" so you know what you're getting.
