Newegg... I bought a retail that runs 2.2 Ghz on default voltage, and 2.3 on 1.750 volts, and 2.4 on 1.9 volts.

definitely go with newegg. i got a 2500+ week 27 with AQXEA cpu code, some claims to be the same as some 3200+. i don't know the validity of that claim since i never seen a real 3200+. but, my 2500+ is running at 3000+ with default voltage. my fsb is set to 170Mhz. the limit of my crucial's pc2100s.

alot of week 27 OEMs are poping up outta newegg.........most are OEM CPUS and some are retails. to be honest since the OEM trays move alot faster than the retail ones my money will be on the OEM

Yes, that means it's a week 23... od that you can only getin 2.1 out of it... maybe your PSU is flakey?

Just got a AQXEA week 27 retail cpu from Newegg only 5 minutes ago. Looks like you should have pretty good luck going retail or OEM from Newegg.

just ordered an OEM from newegg last night it hsould be here monday or so so far im seeing ALOT of week 27's so im hopeing to get one thatll do atlest 2.3ghz 1.7-1.85v if itll do higher then god i got lucky my current first run 2500+ will only do 2.3ghz @ 1.975v

Just got a week 23 2500+ retail from Newegg last week. Its in my daughters computer chugging along as we speak at 2.2 with default voltages! Pretty sweet for a $90 processor compared to its $400 equivalent

Prime and Memtest were both able to complete a 24 hour burn in test!

Temps at load are around 48 and hover around 41 using a cheap $7 Spire hestsink for quietness!


EDIT: Forgot to mention that this is on a Shuttle AN35N Ultra nForce2 motherboard with (2) 256mb HyperX 3500 modules running @ 2/6/3/2

I recently got a week 27 AQXEA from newegg; it does not overclock exceptionally well. The highest I can get stable at default voltage is 2100mhz. I can't get 2200mhz stable at 1.75 volts; I haven't tried any higher, because load temps were getting too high. I'm using a SK-7 with a 80mm Panaflo fan for cooling.

I don't know anything about steppings, but mine's from newegg and it runs 2.3 200mhz fsb x 11.5 on default voltage.

this was a month and a half ago when they were $89

AQXDA 0315 not sure on voltage, i just looked at overclockers.com and say they hit 200X11 at 1.75 volts, so i did that and bam! 2200 no sweat, 46 load with slk900U and 92mm fan,

i'mna push it farther, apparently with 1.85 most people can get 2400-2600mhz

i think my psu sucks, its what came in my antec sonata i set the voltage in the bios to 1.75 and it only read 1.71 in mbm, oh well, can't complain about getting $400 performance from a $89 cpu

I think it's your motherboard that's undervolting, not the power supply. If it came in an antec sonata then I'd guess it's a quality antec power supply, right?

My chip is doing 2.2 (11x200) @ 1.85v. Temps fluctuate depending on how warm the room is. Generally 44-48C idle, 52-56C loaded. I'm using AS2 and an 8045 w/an ultra high speed sunon @ 7v.

Do these Bartons need to be mulitplier unlocked with conductive ink like the older Athlon processors?
