When you have something useful in your pocket you start noticing times when you can use it. It's one of those things that you don't realize how helpful it is until you've got it.

Yes

More than just the blade, to have a screwdriver and a bottle opener in you pocket at all times.

Now if your buddies are country boys or outdoorsmen, I would recommend the

This is my go to knife when camping or hunting.

Your knife recs and advice are fail as shit.

just sayin.

learn to read, dipshit. i didn't recommend anything, i was simply pointing out that someone recommended a kershaw knife costing TWICE as much to REMOVE it's best feature.

go neff or sit in the corner and shut your mouth.

I'm getting married in exactly a month and want to give my groomsmen the gift of a quality pocketknife...

can't you think of another gift to give them? giving knives as a gift is a bad idea. it is an old wife's tale that giving someone s knife is bad luck.

this is my main issue with the ignore feature, why the fuck cant they program it to remove quotes as well. It cant be that hard to program.

Well, you brought them up and I'm not about to question your judgment on their relevance for this thread lest I get tactically eviscerated.

You be more likely to cut yourself with whatever you pick rather than be tactically eviscerated, if that's indeed likely a pistol should be on your short list

yay, you chose a Blur

I have #2. Tanto blades look more "tactical" but are really for stabbing which most people clearly aren't doing.

For a more generic, less scary look go with #1

Wanted to go with this one originally: Link

what influenced your decision?

i'm sure the one you picked is still a good knife, i just think the chive/leek/scallion is the epitome of functionality at a good price.

spyderco's a great knife. only reason i've never had one is that i never liked 'thumb holes'- yeah, i'm particular about this shit.

I would also go with the Spyderco Manix 2
Can be found here for a little more than on Amazon.
New Graham Knives

I definitely like it a lot better than the Blur (which I also own). Too bad the full-flat-grind ones are much more expensive. I would also take a Spyderco Endura or Stretch over the Blur.

For my money (and I own many knives), it always makes more sense to buy a plain-edge blade over serrated, but obviously that is a matter of personal preference.

This
I own at least 100 knives and only have 2 serrated. A bread knife and a Spyderco Civilian.
