Best printer for around $99??

If it is a cheap printer you want, I noticed Walmart had the Lexmark Z12 for $49.95 including a color cartridge. (Heck, the color cartridge alone is like $35) I have a Z11 (the Z12's predecessor) and it works quite well for the $59.95 I paid for it. Better than the canon BJC-4400 that we spent $130 on. I would suggest looking at the epson and lexmark lines. As for places, Buy.com and mwave.com are two of my favorite sites.

The epson 777 is around 90 in stores and is a decent printer. Fairly fast at 8ppm black, unlike the lexmarks, the box comes with both black and color ink

I also have the Z11 and its good for me, but its damn slow and cant have 2 cartridges. Ill look into that epson 777. The priner is gonna be a gift for my aunt.

The Epson 777 is probably the way to go. It's a decent printer for $99 (or less) and should fill your aunt's needs quite nicely.

Thing about the Epson is that the printhead clogs easily if you print sporadically, and the printhead is relatively difficult to find, and more expenisve. On the other hand, the the printhead cartridge on the Canon BJC-3000 can be replaced for <$40, is sold at the major retail chains, and 4 new ink tanks come with it. Individually the canon ink tanks cost ~$10/ea with the added bonus of not having to replace a the entire ink well when only a single color runs out.
