Best Resident Evil movie

Has to be Resident Evil: Extinction. It's the only one that is actually any good what do you guys think? The first was decent. The second was terrible. The third was good. The fourth and fifth are like video games.

Not sure I even went too far past the First, I still like watching that one now and then.

The first one was OK for a mindless action flick. The second and third were utterly forgettable (although some of the cheesy dialogue from the second is something I won't forget at any point soon). No amount of clingy dresses or catsuit-a-like outfits are likely to convince me to watch any sequels since.

I liked all of the movies. Sure, they aren't going to win any awards for "Best Picture", and they bear little in common with the games, but they are decent action flicks... especially if you watch them back-to-back in a short period of time.

I'm not sure which I like best... probably Retribution, though I've seen Apocalypse the most times and I preferred it to the first movie. The battle sequence on the ship with the track "Flying Through The Air" (I liked the song enough to look it up and save the soundtrack on Spotify) playing in the background was a special effects/CGI rich scene that I enjoyed. Plus I think they did a decent job casting all the additional Resident Evil franchise characters and bringing back a few actors from the previous movies. Not that they are all spectacular actors, mind you, but good enough to match the action and the (admittedly over-the-top) plot.

I'm looking forward to the final movie (Resident Evil: The Final Chapter), which unfortunately was delayed. They really did decide to bring things a little full circle while going as big as possible for Alice's final enemies.

I've seen most of them except two. The desert one is indeed good. Used to play the games. Resident Evil for Game Cube was epic. I enjoyed watching my Bro play it. Now you can play it in the emulator Dolphin.
