Mastoris in Bordentown, NJ is pretty famous. i've only eaten there once. it's pretty good.

its not a restaurant but there is an Italian deli that I think is the best on the planet. It is located in Toms River and its called Toscanos.

I ate there a couple of times. I have to agree, the food was great. Back when I ate there, their prices were quite good, but I've heard the prices have skyrocketed (probably due to their popularity.) We've gone to other places instead with just as good of food, perhaps better service, and better prices.

Tarantellas (20 minute drive from Bordentown, but I don't have a clue where; south I think) was probably my favorite that we've ever gone to, but I've been told that they've changed something and it's gone downhill a little bit too. I only get to NJ once or twice a year, but my father always has an outstanding restaurant for us to go out to.

Al Dente is stupid overpriced.. Tomato Factory in East Brunswick much better food and prices.
