Love that game!!! Couldn't get into Xenosaga though.

Lunar: The Silver Star on SegaCD. The greatest RPG that no one played.
i played it when they relased it on the PS1
I've considered that too. But where are the people who grew up playing FFX? I never see them anywhere. Is there some sort of generation gap that keeps me from frequenting the same discussion sites as them? Or have console RPGs objectively gone into decline? These conversations always come down to some game we played a long time ago, probably when we were kids. Funny how that works out.
Earthbound is such a crappy game. I can't believe that it would be your favorite RPG, unless you can't separate nostalgia from actual quality.
PS, my main gripe with FF7 was the combat itself. It took forever to cast some of those spells, specifically ones like Leviathan, and I don't remember there being a way to speed through/skip it.
Xenogears.
Yea, no kidding. The knights of the round summon was at least a full minute every time you used it. Got annoying REAL quick.

there was a "short summon" option but i don't remember if it worked for KOTR, it did for the espers. It basically just showed 0 cinematic when vs the 2 hour movie
im pretty sure there was because i didn't play 8 and 9 wasn't nearly as bad with the summons
