Right, he asked for the best review book. 10 REAL SATs is a great book with practice exams. I felt that practicing the test helped me prepare far better than reading a book.Originally posted by: huypham
Man, nothing beats the 10 REAL Sats. Get your hands on as many real SATs as possible. Sometimes they repeat questions, sometimes they are similar.
Personally, no offense Zippy, but Princeton Review was too easy for me. If you're trying to shoot up from a low score initally, it's not bad. But if you want to climb up to the really really high scores, you should be practicing with the real thing.

By the way, I was in the 97th and 98th percentile for my SAT...so yeah, I was up in those high scores.

Get the 10 Real SAT book and do as many tests as you can between now and the exam. They help much more than the review books. (Btw, I did well as well, 1490)

Not advised, only got a 1200 first try using this method. Did 3 outta 10 of the "real SAT's" and behold, 1300. Since I was going nowhere with my lack of GPA, I decided it was time to call it quits and not try the SAT again.
It isn't cheating. The questions are different for every single test. The passages that you read are always different. Nothing is the same from test to test except for the format. By taking practice tests you are learning the format of the test and practicing questions similar to those that will actually be on the SAT.Originally posted by: jurzdevil

well that means your score is 1200.
you did 3 of the supposed tests with the same questions. tell me thats not a form of cheating.
at least you bought a book and didnt drop 800$ for a review course.
it has perplexed me that people study so hard for these tests that are supposed to judge you on how you did throughout highschool. you should either know it or not by the time you take the test. i still say go take the test without any knowledge of it.
now someone may say you do the review to become familiar with the format of the test...maybe that is part of the test. being able to adapt to a different weay of testing during the test.
by the way... i got 1170 the first time i took the test and 1190 the second time.
