Best SATA 150+ GB HDD?

I need a 150+GB HDD for my system. I would prefer it to have a 8MB Cache. Whats the best deal for the quality of HDD?

All sata HD's have an 8mb cache. Serial ATA drives do not have any gains in performance compared to ATA133 drives unless you go with the Western digital raptors that are 10K rpm drives but cost much more. If you need high performance go with raptors but they come in two flavors, 36.7gb and 74gb. The only advantage from ATA133 7200rpm drives and SATA 7200rpm drives is that cables are much smaller. You can get a 160gb sata 7200rpm with 8mb cache for less than $100 from newegg.com not including shipping.

look for Hitachi sata drives, I think a $100 payment will get you close....I know the 250GB is only $180.

Seagate Barracudas seem to work just fine. I'm running a 80GB SATA/150 and it's been great.

I was mostly concerned with copy speed and boot up speed. I bought Samsung SP1213C. It'very quet drive. It feels fast, but then, probably any modern HD would feel also fast. It was less then 100$ at newegg (few months back).
