Best Slot1 PIII heatsink.

I've got this slot1 550E and I can get it to 825MHz, but not totally stable. I am sure a better heatsink would do it. I looked around and it seems that the best one is Alpha P3125 PIII Cooler.

Well is it? Oh, and will it have any problems fitting on my coppermine? I wouldn't like to use string again like I do now with my Global Win VEK32. :|

The Alpha P3125 is surely the best Slot 1 that you can get, especially if you pair it with 2 Delta 38CFM fans. That's if you have the guts to take the noise punishment of course....

It should fit nicely to any Slot 1 motherboard minus one dimm slot, but I am not sure exactly why you would need a string for a VEK32 in the first place.

tonyou I need string because there is no other way to place it on my CPU. The heatsink didn't have anything that could be used to be mounted to the CPU. That's why I am asking if that's the case with this heatsink too.

I bought my alpha p3125 from inflowdirect.com and it came with everything to connect it to the proc. If you want a better heatsink then go with this one. You might be able to find it cheaper somewhere else. If you do get it there then make sure you upgrade the fans to the Delta fans.

MrGrim, the Alpha P3125 uses 4 screws to secure the heatsink on a Slot 1 CPU. I can get a very tight fit on it which helps improve cooling dramatically.
