Hi. To people who makes smoothies in a regular basis, I would like to ask what is the best combo to make? Do you use frozen fruit? Do you add milk or? What's the best? I'm really new D:

1 cup baby spinach (pack it down you can use a lot)
1 cup mixed frozen berries (strawberries and raspberries and blueberries)
1 frozen banana sliced
1 apple sliced (mostly for the skin which is awesome fiber helps prevent colon cancer)

add a little water to help it blend easier (shouldnt need much)

blend and drink, should taste pretty damn good

drink one of these a day for a month and tell me you don't feel lighter on your feet

I usually go one of two ways:

1: ice, chocolate protein powder, peanut butter powder, milk.

2: Kale, mixed berries, apple, banana, water.

Frozen banana + chocolate brown rice protein powder + 2 scoops peanut butter + almond milk.

That, or a green smoothie.

I like frozen bananas, frozen strawberries, frozen blueberries, a little red kale, a half cup of whey non-flavored protein powder, and a tablespoon each of chia, flax and hemp seeds. Add in the right amount of water or cashew milk (cup and a half plus) and its a really tasty and healthy thing.

Why do people add milk? is water better?

I find if you add frozen bananas or avocados you can get that creamy texture without milk. Milk can foam so its worth avoiding it if you can. Cashew milk is the best nut milk alternative for a creamy texture.

I usually have two go-to morning smoothies.

1. Kale, peanut butter, an apple, half a frozen banana, cinnamon and some rolled oats.

2. Kale, cherries, banana and some chia seeds.

Sometimes I switch it up to spinach when I get tired of kale.

morning smoothie usually has some mixture of:

2 cups kale or spinach
1 orange
some pineapple
1 mango (fresh during these months - frozen otherwise)
maybe some berries
1 cup or so orange juice

Guys are you trying to choke me to death? Are you sure you suppose to blend the frozen fruit? You sure I don't need to defrost them first? I just blended some blueberries/ strawberries and its rock solid.. nearly killed my friend D:

fyi I don't have a cheap smoothie maker.. maybe I'm doing it wrong. Maybe more milk? But wow so many rock bits we nearly choked to death lmao

A tasty smoothie is all fruit and indeed can make someone fat without any exercise load. It's still better than eating candy, as that heavy fructose load is blunted by the fiber.

However a healthy smoothie has more vegetables than fruit. The rule is usually 80% vegetables and 20% fruit.

Here's a healthy smoothie that tastes really good. You can also add protein powder and water, cow/soy/almond milk, yogurt.

1 banana
1 apple
1 pear
1 large handful of kale
1 large handful of lettuce
1 large handful of spinach
2 large stalks of celery
1/2 a lemon

I use the below blender, which is extremely versatile and powerful. You also want to add just enough water to make the concoction smooth.

Yup. I do it every morning.

The trick is to put the frozen stuff in LAST (after liquid//seeds). And make sure you have enough liquid.

blend it more?

I use frozen fruit, but when I do, I *don't* use ice... adding both would likely be a bit too much.

I generally use ice and fruit. Or, I use almond milk, ice, and chocolate protein powder (great breakfast). I don't put garbage like kale and shit in it. Kale is some kind of garbage leaf hippies and poor people eat because they couldn't afford real greens.

Hippy maybe, but not poor. Good kale costs decent money. I probably juice/smoothie like $5+ of kale a day (which is not that much Kale).
