Best Star Trek Movie

ST2, ST4, ST6. It's funny how, with respect to the first generation movies, the even movies were good and the odd movies sucked.

I think ST4 had the best direction and best story. What, no votes for ST1?

I like them all, except ST:1 and ST:4. I think 4 is really lame, though it's humorous at times. 1 is just boring.

4 is definitely a classic. I haven't seen 3 for a very long time. They never seem to play it.

I guess it's time to start picking them up on DVD...only one I currently have is Insurrection.

The first one would been ok if they edited out at least a half hour of unnecessarily long scenes. I find the FF button really helps the story move right along.

so a buncha votes for ST2: WOK....we just love putting acroynyms to things. i hope they make a DS:9 movie, but i heard that a Voyager movie is more likely then the DS:9 movie...but don't flame me on that. i really liked the TNG double episodes...those are basically like movies anyways. Remember the Borg one or the Last episode? those rocked. i want to get those on video or dvd if they have them. anyone know?

the borg episode was BEST OF BOTH WORLDS and that did rock. It is like the all time favorite episode of so many fans around the world. I forgot the name of the last episode. Anywaz, i don't think they are gonna do a DS9 movie, i mean the crew is pretty spread apart, with worf and obrien leaving the station, plus sisko in some weird spiratual world or something. on the other hand, the movie could be about how sisko returns or something with the help of the old crew. that would be interesting. I heard they aren't gonna release a star trek movie till 2002 at least or something. anybody hear anything else?

The last TNG episode is called "All Good Things..." All the episodes are on tape, but I'm not sure if they are on DVD yet. If you have a few hours to spare, it is very interesting to watch the first TNG and then the last one. The stories tie together very well.

This thread asks for opinions on the best of the films, not on the merits of the series itself. You're just displaying a bratty childishness that makes most readers simply feel embarrassed for you. I also like TWOK the best, but I think The Search for Spock is a very underrated movie. It's really good.

As for a DS9 movie, it will NEVER happen. There's just no demand for it. The show is too obscure, and frankly, it doesn't merit a movie. If they ever did make one, the budget had better stay under 30 million, because that's about as much as it would make.

I won't go into dissing DS9 here, but other than about 30% of the trekkies, noone wants to see one.

First Contact!!! I love the borg, they're just so cool and intimidating. And about a DS9 movie, I'd have to say it's my second favorite series after TNG, but the last episode pretty much wrapped it up. They all went their separate ways, and there's really nothing left to add to it. I do feel it was an underrated series though.

and btw, the last episode of TNG was "All Good Things..." ok, i watch too much tv...

For some reason I never liked the original series movies as much, though Khan is probably my favorite of them.


I think I remember reading somewhere that they are making a new series before a new movie. I don't know if that's true though...
