TIE Fighter is easily one of the best Star Wars games ever, and it has been made obvious in this thread.

Perhaps it has to do with the decline of flight/fighter sims in general. I remember back in the day when flight sticks were almost a must have hardware item for many games (ie TIE Fighter), there were so many options for them, and almost none for console-like controllers, now its pretty much the opposite if that, because keyboard and mouse has become such a staple.

jedi knight II: Jedi Outcast - for FP action

X wing Alliance - for space action (i've played xwing & tie fighter, but the alliance intro movie just has the right feeling)

There was some other SW game I played back in 1994. It came with my uber bad @ss top-of-line hyper expensive Pentium (prolly 90mhz) rig with a big shiny Diamond Stealth PCI gfx card.

I spent so much time with that game my wife got really pissed :evil:

Hah, still got that giant PCI gfx card in my office here. I pulled it outta my attic earlier this year to test a rig. Surprised the crap outta me when the card still worked
